Conservation projects
Worldwide there are many wildlife conservation projects. The advantage of locally established projects is the presence of much information about the animals and the local circumstances. World of Wildlife offers animal adoption programme’s from the following projects:
Selection of projects
The wildlife conservation projects that are supported by World of Wildlife have carefully been selected based on a number of criteria, so the donators can be confident that their donation will be spend well and we can trust the projects to render an account off their activities and spending of the financial support. Important criteria are:
Local residing (mainly) non-governmental organization (NGO)
Mainly managed by local staff
Attention for community work in the local area
Involving the local communities in the project
Project is admitted by (local) authorities
Twice a year (financial) reporting about the spending of donated money, the
activities and results.
If you are a wildlife conservation project or know a project that meets the criteria above and financial support would be welcome, please fill out the project form and we will contact you.
Costs of conservation work
Wildlife conservation is labour-intensive work. Offering local people a paid job is a durable way of conservation and will bring the local community in a economic better position. Besides staff the costs of wildlife conservation consist of costs for medicine and food for the animals, costs for medical equipment, rent and maintenance of the projects land, accommodation and office.
Wildlife conservation projects depend for a significant part of contributions and donations. World of Wildlife wants to give a stable financial basis, so the projects can focus on their primary goal: wildlife conservation. |
